Our "Chef Jeff" proudly refers to himself as a "Master of Recycling" - making sure that everything that can be recycled — will be recycled. This includes all types of plastics, glass, paper, aluminum & tin cans — even our used cooking oil. We believe that the more waste we can keep out our landfills, the better!
At Sauk-Prairie Grill — we go even further. We are phasing out plastic-straws for either sugar-coated paper straws; or try one of our edible "cookie straws", guaranteed both tasty and delicious. They go great with Sauk-Prairie Grill's milkshakes, malts, and ice-cream floats. The kids love them!
The owners of Sauk-Prairie Grill recently invested in the most energy efficient, professional cooking equipment for our newly remodeled kitchen. All of this equipment was specially chosen in keeping with our commitment to take care of our environment and our beloved community.
Our brand new, energy-efficient kitchen equipment includes: our new open-fire charcoal grill; our new flat grill; even our new specially-designed oven for our Brick-Oven Pizzeria. Our "green" kitchen also includes low energy consuming, industrial refrigerators — to ensure your food is always fresh; while consuming the minimum amount of electricity. We also installed a new deep fryer. Finally, we invested in a newly designed, super-insulated, energy-efficient walk-in freezer. So well insulated that if you were to step into our new walk-in freezer, you'd feel as if you were snowmobiling down the Wisconsin River in the middle of winter — during sub-zero temperatures. Now, that's cold!
Finally, at Sauk-Prairie Grill, we utilize "environmentally friendly" cleaning products to limit the number of toxic chemicals that enter our environment, thereby leaving the smallest possible chemical and carbon footprint on our lovely planet.
